Faith Oranga originally walked from home to home looking for deaf children to join the school. Convincing their families to let them go to school was not easy for them because many people in Kenya believe deaf people are useless. However, Faith was successful in finding deaf children and today the Lorena School has eleven students. Due to protecting the safety of the children, only the first names have been disclosed.
